AIV supports four primary types of task relationships, each defining how tasks interact in project management:
Finish-to-Start (FS): This is the most common relationship. A task must be completed before the next task can start. For example, a design task must be finished before development begins.
Start-to-Start (SS): In this scenario, two tasks can commence simultaneously. For instance, coding and testing can begin at the same time if the required resources are available.
Finish-to-Finish (FF): Here, a task cannot be finished until another task also concludes. For example, the final project review cannot be completed until all associated tasks are finished.
Start-to-Finish (SF): This less common relationship states that one task cannot finish until another task has started. This type is useful in specific contexts, such as transitioning shifts in a manufacturing environment.
