How to Download and Import Examples from AIV into BIRT Designer – Eclipse

To download and import example reports from AIV into the BIRT Designer – Eclipse, follow these steps:

1. Ensure You’re Using the Compatible Designer Version:

   • Use the commercial version of the BIRT Designer, known as Analytics Designer, to avoid any compatibility issues, especially with advanced features like HTML5 charts used in AIV reports.

2. Set Up a Server Profile in Analytics Designer:

   • Open the Server Explorer in Analytics Designer.
   • Right-click on Servers and select New Server Profile.
   • Provide the connection details to link the Analytics Designer with AIV.

3. Access and Import Report Designs:

   • Once the server profile is set up, you will see the content from AIV in the Server Explorer window.
   • Navigate the available reports and drag and drop the desired designs directly into your BIRT project.
