How do I create a page break after a specific report element in AIV?

To create a page break after a specific report element in your AIV report, follow these steps:

Steps to Create a Page Break:

  1. Use Block-Level Bands:

    • Place your subreports into block-level bands in your master report. Block-level elements span the entire width of the page, making it easy for the engine to recognize where to implement page breaks.
  2. Configure the Report Header:

    • If all your elements are in the report header, convert the report header into a block-layout band.
    • Add subbands to your report header to organize the elements effectively.
  3. Assign Page Breaks to Subbands:

    • Each subband can have its page break. To add a page break:
      • Select the desired subband.
      • In the Attributes Pane, enable the page break option.
  4. Direct Page Breaks for Subreports:

    • Alternatively, you can apply page breaks directly to subreports without using subbands.
    • Select the subreport and set the page break attribute in the Attributes Pane.
  5. Test Your Report:

    • After configuring the page breaks, render your report to verify that the breaks occur as expected after the specified elements.
